Quiet morning. Discovered good bar at the other side of the wall of the albergue. Good but expensive. Followed the main road at some distance with small excursions into the surroundings, among other across an old abandoned airfield (!!)
A soda at a gas station and then across the last pass over into “Cacéres”. You have a feeling that “Cacéres” is high up. The city of the conquistadores. A fairly big city.
Walked around in part of the city searching for an open sports shop to find some rain wear. Didn’t find one on the first of May (Día international de los trabajadores).
Had some food down at the bus station but no hotels there. But I went to one that I had seen on the GPS. Got a room to a reasonable price. Took a bath, washed my things and relaxed. Got a suggestion of a sports shop close to “Plaza Ajibe” (Cistern Square). Found it but understood that it did not open until 9:50 (sic!) the next day. Had a solomilo (filet) of chicken and then went to bed.
