After a while the rain arrived and I had to put on my “tent”, the big German rain poncho. This was the first time I used it for real. I had difficulties to arrange it correctly but finally I succeeded. That was really needed since the rain was pouring down. It calmed down eventually however.
Much up and down in long curves though the cultivated landscape. After a long while I arrived at “Puebla de Sancho Perez” where I had a little coffee before the last kilometers into “Zafa”.
On a sidewalk I was pointed towards an albergue by, what proved to be, a Finn that had lived here for 20 years. He came from Karelen, but spoke good Swedish. We agreed to have dinner together a bit later.
After having walked around the city for an hour or so I found it to be a good place. I phoned Birgitta who was visiting Anna and heard “the little one” – still without a name - in the background for the first time.
Later it became a night that I will not forget, when a Swede and a Finn spoke Spanish together for a whole night. Believe it or not!!!
